Nearly every story you may have read begins with the prologue, and here is mine.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies with a Specialization in Biology at the National University of Singapore. I suppose that is where the green aspiration comes from. But what about sovereignty? The Oxford Dictionary defines sovereignty as, "Supreme Power or Authority". But how often do you come across these two words together? Does the green world have any supreme power over our political societies? Practically an oxymoron as my literature teacher in high school would claim. But the implausibility of this very phrase drives my determination to make it a reality. (I know it may seem a tad bit too ambitious).
About four years ago, I found myself in a Model United Nations club in high school with little knowledge of what is to come my way. 10 conferences later, my aspiration continues to be a scientist/expert in the environmental field for such impactful organisations. In this blog, I will be looking at the never-ending conflicts present between the interests of natural world and the political world, and be at the forefront of these debates. Lets venture deep.
